Along with our Easter greetings and conveying our desire for peace in the risen Lord, we invite you to take part in an initiative in the light of the next International Teresian Congress. This year the Congress will focus on "The Mansions of the Interior Castle" and will be held in September 2-8, 2013.

For those living in the UK, the Carmelite Friars at Aylesford Priory will host Brightlights 2013 in conjunction with  World Youth Day.  You can spend the weekend in the beautiful grounds of Aylesford Priory, home to the very welcoming Carmelite community.

Zambia will have two new Carmelite missions over the next months

COMMUNICATIONES (13-03-2013).- 

The province of Manjummel plans to have two missionary presences in Zambia before September. Specifically, they will take charge of two parishes, one in the municipality of Mwanjawanthu and the other in Nyimba.

The Order of Discalced Carmelites in Rome have announced the following concordance via the Carmelite seminary in Guatamala.  For all the Spanish speakers out there it will certainly be wonderful.  We found, however, the Carmelites are also offering an online OCD radio and a Podcast from the Cafe Carmelitano.  Having listened to the radio for only a short time proved to be delightful.

Asia News reports that a new philosophical Institute named after St. John of the Cross has been initiated in a district of Pontianak, the capital of the Indonesian province of Kalimantan West, on the island of Borneo.
